Hahnemühle Agave

You may well have noticed that Streets has a new more sustainable fine art paper to choose from in our Fine Art Range!

From Hahnemühle’s new Natural Line their Agave Fine Art paper has excellent colour reproduction, superb blacks and that rich, yet delicate texture similar to the Canson Edition Etching.

Not only does it produce a beautiful print, but Hahnemühle’s Agave is also here to give you a more sustainable choice when it comes to photographic printing – and here’s why:

  • This paper uses no optical brighteners or paper coatings.
  • Agave is a perennial that can be harvested multiple times annually over a life span of 10+ years. It’s also interplanted with other species during the initial years creating a polyculture that improves soil quality.
  • Because it grows in an arid climate, its water demand is significantly less than that of cotton.
  • Agave doesn’t need any pesticides or fertilizers.

And the cherry to top off all that – Hahnemühle donates 5% of the proceeds of the Natural Line to the Green Rooster Fund. Who fund a series of environmental education, animal welfare and reforestation projects.

So if you’re interested in trying out a new paper that will help minimize your environmental impact – give our sustainable fine art paper, Agave a go!
