Streets Imaging is a professional photographic print lab based in Brisbane, and ships nationally and internationally daily. We offer high quality, colour managed, true photographic and fine art printing along with framing, photographic displays, wall art, large format printing and much more to professional photographers and artists across Australia. We also specialize in workflow solutions to help minimize post-production and editing time for our Clients – with a strong focus on school, sports and event photography.

Our amazingly fast ordering and lab management software is what powers our business and is managed by our incredible team who are all very enthusiastic about their work and the photographic industry.

We will always provide the best customer service and always strive to help our Clients improve and grow their businesses big or small. Our attention to detail is impeccable and we will do everything to help make sure your print arrives perfect every time.

Owner/Director

What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?

I’m the boss man. It sounds corny but I’m here to serve my staff. My job is to make sure they have everything they need to do their job, do it really well and have enjoyable place to work in.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?

I studied design & Marketing, then spent time in sales, followed by consulting businesses on marketing and management, followed by running a school photography business – which is how I came to be a Streets client myself. I’ve grown up around cameras with my folks’ photography business so finally here I am following in their shoes.

What makes you great at what you do?

Coffee, lots and lots of coffee.

What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?

Walking through the production area and taking in all the amazing images sliding out of printers, getting mounted, framed or wrapped on canvas stretchers. It seriously gives me warm and fuzzies seeing that all this brilliant work coming through. Also I love working with positive people who are interested in collaborating or working to improve their business.

Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?

What I used to spend on my hobbies I now mostly spend on my kids’ hobbies/sports. Still I make sure I get some time to myself, which i spend reading or playing indoor or outdoor soccer.

Matthew Lloyd

Lab Manager

What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?
I am responsible for most mounting/framing that comes through Streets as well as a general oversight of day to day operations that go on here.
Within this I tend to find myself partaking in some form or another a little of everything that we do, be that colour management, printing, film processing or machine maintenance etc.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?
A background in studio and product photography + personal art practice and formal photographic studies (BPhoto) from QCA.

What makes you great at what you do?

A genuine interest in the processes behind what we do.

What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?
My colleagues.

Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?

Live music, travel and analogue photography.

Jacky Brooks

Marketing Manager

What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?
I am a jack of all trades in the lab. I currently look after the labs software workflow and I also produce the graphic design, website and email marketing for Streets.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?
I have a Bachelor of Art/Digital Art from the Australian National University and have spent most of my last 10 working years in photographic labs. Previous to that I worked for a number of years in photographic equipment sales.

What makes you great at what you do?
The team I work with make me great. I have a creative mind and am a problem solver. I love what I do and I am always wanting to learn more… and more… and more…

What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?
The Staff and Clients are such a great mob! Every day is different and always interesting. I have opportunities to learn and grow in the workplace and it makes my work more than just a job.

Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?
I currently am all consumed outside of work learning permaculture design and making endless snacks for my two crazy kids.

Jenny Manners

Print Production/Quality Control

What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?

I’m a printer operator on Noritsu 3801 and 3203 photographic printers, making colour corrections where necessary.

I process and scan C41 film.

I make keyrings, magnets, calendars, albums and laminate prints.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?

Started in my first lab in Nov ’76, so if you know your maths that’s a long time ago. Still enjoy lab work [most days]. Lots of on-the-job training and a few Kodak, Fuji, Nikon and management courses over the years.

What makes you great at what you do?

I think I have an eye for detail and colour, and good memory does help.

What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?

The people I work with.

Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?

Reading, Op-shopping, Travel, B&W Photography but not necessarily in that order.

Fine Art/Canvas Production

What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?
My role in Digital Production has me operating Inkjet and True Photographic printers,
scanning, restoring and digitising artwork, ordering of stock aswell as stretching canvas and assisting with the
mounting and framing of prints.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?
Having held jobs in both the Photographic and Warehousing industries;
self-automation and time management is my forte.

What makes you great at what you do?
Being generally passionate and interested in the work you do definitely makes a world of difference,
I feel I bring a jolt of energy to the office.

What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?
I get to see something new every day, truly no day is the same,
there is always new amazing clients that are always bringing something fresh and new to the table.

Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?
When I’m not working I like to spend time with my Wife and greyhound “Gary”,
If I’m not out taking photos somewhere I’ll be playing guitar and writing songs with friends.

Olivia Smith

Customer Service/School Workflow

What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?

I help our Clients out whenever and wherever possible! I look after a lot of our regular Clients needs and process all of the school workflow that comes through the lab.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?

I used to work at a photographic studio. It was here that I first found my love for production and customer service. I was responsible for sales/bookings as well as worked heavily in the production department retouching photos & placing print orders in with Streets. When I’m not working at Streets I run my own freelance photographic business.

What makes you great at what you do?

I love my job! I am a perfectionist so I am constantly striving for the best from myself and the service that we, as a team deliver to our Clients.

What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?

Something new happens every day at Streets, not to mention, there isn’t a day where I don’t learn something new! Plus we have such a great team – my colleagues & bosses are such great people!

Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?

Naturally, I’m into photography, it’s always been an interest – my first camera was a little pink point and shoot that I got at the age of 10, I loved it! I also love painting and drawing.

Framing and mounting. I look after most of the finishing for our prints.

What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?

with a background of working in production and manufacturing, I have a keen eye for detail and quality.

A love for building and creating things

Making things that will bring people joy every day.

In my spare time I am a blacksmith/bladesmith and enjoy rock climbing regularly with my pals.
